Andranik Margaryan Memorial 20172016-12-24
The Chess Academy of Armenia (address: Yerevan, Shevchenko 34) is organizing “Andranik Margaryan Memorial” which will take place from January 8 to 16, 2017, Yerevan, RA. Participants up to 18 (boys and girls) will take part in different age groups. Each tournament is a 9 round Swiss Tournament.
The total prize fund of the tournament is 1 500 000 AMD. All the winners of the tournaments will be awarded with medals, presents and will get the right to take part in winter retreat organized by the Chess Academy of Armenia.
In the event of a tie, tie breaks will be carried out according to the cutoff Buchholz, Buchholz and number of games played with black pieces. In case of a tie, the monetary prizes will be distributed equally.
In the tournaments can participate those who have:
A1 tournament: 2000 and above national rating (girls-at least I chess rank)
Those players whose national rating is under 2000 are to pay 4000 AMD.
A2 tournament - at least I chess rank
A3 tournament - at least II chess rank
A4 tournament - at least III chess rank /participants born in 2009 and 2010 – at least IV rank/
B tournament - at least IV chess rank /participants born in 2009 and 2010 – at least IV rank/
A1 and A2 tournaments will be calculated in accordance with the FIDE rules.
Till December 26, 14:00 for A1 and A2 tournaments - 3000 AMD, (palyers with national rating under 2000 - 4000 AMD), for A3, A4 and B tournaments - 2000 AMD,
Till January 7, 15:00 for A1 and A2 tournaments - 4000 AMD, for A3, A4 and B tournaments - 3000 AMD.
